Job Title: Tagging Supervisor
Job Location: Seattle Public Library

This is a 90-day TEMPORARY position.

Job Summary:

Supervise and assist in the location and replacement RFID tags that are obsolete within the Seattle Public Library system using various technical and manual methodologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage multiple small crews over multiple areas. Extract data from devices on a daily basis to create reports for meeting tracking and performance standards.

Use CircTrak Inventory Wand to locate folio tags applied to books residing in library stacks. Remove/disable the existing folio tag and apply a new RFID tag. Write new tag using UTagIT tag writing kit and replace books in proper location in stacks.
Re-tag books with folio tags found by library’s book sorter utilizing the UTagIT device.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Basic computer and technology familiarity. Ability to read and follow instructions. Basic manual dexterity to be able to utilize tools for the removal/disabling of folio RFID tags. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to reach items five feet above ground level. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision with a sense of urgency.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office Products with emphasis with Excel. Ability to extract data from devices and create daily reports based upon scheduled matrixes. Ability to communicate with clarity to both superiors and subordinates.

Salary: $20.00 /hour
